Arlesey (A) 3-0 Ashwell

This being the last match of the season Atyfc wanted a good result and the boys of ATYFC teams A&B did not dissappoint.

Arlesey A showed some great skills midfield and a wonderful pass lead a hotfooted Cassius to line a leftfooted kick straight into goal for a 1 nil lead. Ashwell pushed on and Harry and Owen held a great defensive line, keeping the oppositon at bay.Through some great team play Ryan scorched passed the defenders and passed an impressive ball to surefooted Callum who smashed it in to bring the score to 2 nil just before halftime.

After halftime Ashwell gained a couple of corner's but none were converted.Gurphal (G) did his usual wonderful job in grabbing anything that came his way. Ashwell and ATYFC battled alot in Aswell's area until Harry who had that glint in his eye all day seized the ball from halfway and hit a brillant volley in for 3 nil.

Final whistle 3 nil and a very well deserved win for ATYFC A over a pretty sensational season.

Arlesey (B) 3-0 Ashwell

ATYFC B's proved that they will not be outdone and pulled the same result out of the hat.

ATYFC had a good chance early on with an attempt by Robbie just going wide, but after a battle in midfeild JackK snatched the ball from a defender and made a soaring run and with the lightest of touchest placed the ball into the back of the net for a 1 nil lead.

Brandon and Luc defended unwaveringly and nothing much came close to the net. Jack A and Keiran held midfeild play and did not give Ashwell time to think. A lovely pass from RyanL to JackK near the box saw him slide it into the bottom corner for his double and a 2 nil lead.

Second half gave ATYFC the cushion to swap some positions and it was nice to see Gurphal leave goal and take his place in midfeild. Gurphal then showed us how talented he is by dodging several players and thumping it into the back of the net, for his first goal of the season.

ATYFC did not rest and had several more attempts right up until the final whistle.

Final score 3 nil to ATYFC.Again a perfect result reflecting the whole season.

Atyfc A played 2 matches out of their 3 as the third team was a no show.

Both games played with great Gusto and Atyfc showed great skill in both games, especially the St Neot's match as Atyfc had previously beaten them and St Neot's were set to even the score. This side in their first season of showing, are proving that they are a real contender's for the future. After all scores were tallied up Atyfc A team are through to the next round,

Arlesey(B) 0-3 St Neot's Town Blues
Arlesey(B) 1-0 Bishop Stortford Swifts
Arlesey(B) 0-1 Ashwell Academicals

Atyfc B started with a huge disadvantage to the rest, they played with only 5 on the pitch and without the usual goalkeeper so Keiran Hall stepped bravely into the breach.

Dispite this they played and defended well and still managed to win a match against great odds, the golden goal being scored by Ryan Lamond.

Atyfc B just missed going through to the next round the results showed they matched on points, but unfortunately go out on goal difference.

Great effort and determination lads!

Arlesey(A) 0-0 Royston

A very competitive start to this match with players evenly matched.

Royston had a shot early on which was collected in super style by Gurpal.Callum and Cassius battled in midfield, and fed some lovely balls to Ryan and Kasey but Royston's defence held up. Harry and Owen keep their wits and denied Royston
at  the other end with some good clearances. Cassius had a couple of excellent corners, one of which Ryans had a head on, but due to the strong defence they could not be converted.Gurpal saw more action than normal and showed his talent as the ATYFC under 7yrs goalie.
Despite some good play the score remained the same.

A really solid even match with a just result of nil nil.

Arlesey(B) 1-0 Royston

A keen start to this match straight off a shot on Atyfc's goal, saw a brillant header out by Harry. Jack A and Keiran had some good spells on the ball but Royston never far away constantly hassled meaning that possession went up and down the field, everybody wanting the ball.

Brandon and Luc did well holding the line, and feeding the ball back .Cassius who came on a sub made a lovely weaving run and passed to RyanL who without hesitation put it into the back of the net for a 1nil lead.

Shortly after Atyfc had one trickle what looked like  over the line, but it was disallowed.
And shortly after Royston had the same when they scored after the whistle had been blown for a foul.score remained the same until the end.1 nil to ATYFC, a real team effort

Arlesey(A) 4-0 St.Neots Blue

This was always going to be a tough match with St Neots not losing in their last 15 matches, but Atyfc seized the game early on. An aggressive start, most of the action being in midfield with Cassius and Callum valiantly keeping most of the possession for Atyfc. A sensastional  curved freekick from Harry sailed over everbody's head for a 1 nil lead.

St Neots broke and Gurpal made some cructial saves to keep them in the lead. Cassius made a lovely run, passed to Casey who struck another wonderful ball in for 2 nil. The next goal came from a misunderstanding and St Neots struck a home goal to put Atyfc 3 nil up.

After halftime St Neots put some more pressure on  but Gurpal, Harry and Luc cleared all attempts away.Callum played out of his skin and was involved with most of the attacks. RyanS then ran a lovely ball up field and put one through the keepers legs for a 4 nil finish to the game.

A spectacular game to watch from start to finish.

Atyfc started on the up with Robbie and RyanL straight on the ball showing some lovely skills in passing. JackK fed a lovely cross to Robbie on the edge of the area and Robbie thundered his ball into the back of the net for a 1 nil lead.

Smelling blood Atyfc rattled the defence and not long after RyanL slid another in after a valiant attempt by St Neots to defend their goal mouth.St Neots had a good chance after a handball lead to a penalty, but they missed and the lead remained the same. Ryanl,JackK and JackA had some lovely playwith one attempt by JackK just missing over the bar. Brandon and RyanS charged down any further attempts on goal, but the score remained the same.A 2 nil win to Atyfc

Arlesey (A) 5-0 Letchworth

A team

Played: Harry Bean, Gurpal Dhesi, Owen Phillips, Cassius Straughn, Ryan Slender, Kasey Tyler, Callum Wells.

Arlesey made an immediate impression with their developing football skills against Letchworth Eagles. The first half saw superb teamwork from all the players with accurate passing and positioning. There were many attempts at Letchworth goal from virtually all players. Harry and Owen defended fiercely with some tough tackling. A lovely set up from Cassius got Arlesey thier first goal by Kasey just touching it in.

The second half Arlesey really raised their game and the goals came in thick and fast. Kasey ran rings round the Letchworth defenders and scored for 2-0. A brilliant cross from Ryan to Cassius for 3-0. Cassius had another attempt, the goalkeeper dropped the ball and Kasey drove it into the back of the net for 4-0. In between Letchworth managed to have a shot at our end, this was defended brilliantly by Callum, Gurpal our goalie didn't get a look in! The constant pressure onto the opposition gave Arlesey their final goal with a great chip in by Callum for 5-0.

A pleasure to watch, well played.

Arlesey (B) 2-1 Letchworth

B Team

Played: Robbie Crofts, Gurpal Dhesi, Brandon Geaves, Kieran Hall, Jack Konopka, Ryan Lamond, Luc Trampenau. Sub:Jack Archer.

After sitting attentively watching the A team for their match, the B team were all fired up for a good one. Brandon and Luc made some immediate clearances as Letchworth pushed forward. Robbie made use of a drop ball by kicking forward to Ryan who volleyed it in for 1-0. Jack and Kieran both had good runs round the defenders to have a shot but these just went wide. Jack A.did some excellent tackling for possession of the ball before the half time whistle.

Back on, Letchworths half time team talk had worked as they immediately equalised. Letchworth put the pressure on and had another shot which Gurpal kicked out and then saved the rebound. The team tried really hard to keep the ball in Letchworths end by relentlessly challenging the opposition. A hand ball gave Arlesey a free kick which was was taken by Robbie, this unfortunatley hit the side net. From here the play  went from end to end but a lucky break came to us from a corner as Ryan hit one in to the back of the net for 2-1.

Fantastic game, well played

Arlesey(A) 1-0 London Colney

A team

Played. Harry Bean, Gurpal Dhesi, Ryan Slender, Cassius Straughn, Kasey Tyler, Luc Trampenau, Callum Wells.

A very cold morning saw London Colney brave the weather and visit us for  friendly matches. A great start for Arlesey with instant pressure on the opposition. Some clear runs and constant attacking produced the only goal of the game by Ryan Slender. With four corners in succession Arlesey had to work hard in defence as London Colney tried very hard to get one back before the half time whistle.

The second half saw most play in London Colney end with plenty of attempts at goal but their goalkeeper saved all the shots. Tough tackling to get posession just couldn't produce another goal for Arlesey. Final whistle left score at 1-0 to us.

Well played everyone!  Special thanks to a couple of the mums Debbie and Derry for serving tea, coffee, cakes and biscuits for the players and supporters between the two matches.

B Team

Played. Hannah Andrews, Robbie Crofts, Gurpal Dhesi, Brandon Geaves, Kieran Hall, Josh Izzard, Jack Konopka. Sub: Luc Trampenau.

An even matched first half that unfortunately saw our goalie Gurpal recieve an injury that caused him to stay off till half time. Brandon stood in and did a fantastic job in goal saving a few shots but a goal scramble took London Colney in the lead with 1-0. Arlesey put the pressure on but just couldn't equalise.

The second half saw much the same play with ball going from end to end. Defence worked hard with many admirable clearances. Some competent attacking gave our strikers a few attempts at goal but they just went wide. Altogether a pretty fair match. A particular mention to Josh Izzard who played his first game for us and to Hannah who had her best  game yet.

Again well played everyone!

Arlesey(A) 0-2 Baldock

The match started very evenly but soon saw Baldock push into ATYFC half and put our lads at full stretch.Harry and Owen crushed several attempts and cleared 2 corner kicks and really held the line. But alas shortly after, a goal was deflected off the post and went in to put them a goal behind Baldock.

Callum had an outstanding game and appeared to be everywhere really playing his socks off!

After halftime ATYFC really began firing again and a lovely attempt on goal was made by RyanS and Cassius showing some real flare on the ball, but on the counter Baldock capitalised and scored again, leaving ATYFC 2 nil behind. The ATYFC boys responded well and RyanS fed a lovely ball to Kasey which unluckily rebounded off the post. Harry and Owen did a stirling job and made some crucial clearances to keep the score remaining the same.

Final score 2 nil to Baldock Templars.

Arlesey(B) 4-0 Baldock

With brandon scoring yesterday all 13 out field players, who are now playing most weeks have scored, just waiting for a pen for gurpal.

ATYFC had a couple of early on try's,one from Keiran off the left post which only just missed! and another from RyanL in almost  carbon copy fashion. Atyfc through some determined play fed a lovely ball which JackK chested down and with great control hoofed it into the back of the net for a 1 nil lead.

Play remained pretty even until after halftime, RyanL,Keiran and JackA had some good spells in midfield, and Brandon and Luc keep the defensive line well. Gurpal made a wonderful save when it was asked for, and on a big kick out by him led to a try on goal by robbie which although deflected off the post, Keiran Capitalised on and fed in another goal to put ATYFC 2 nil up.

Now more confident Robbie struck a long ball which sailed into the back of the net for a 3 nil lead.

Brandon was then moved upfield to lead the attack and shortly before fulltime struck one in to put himself on the ATYFC score sheet.well done Brandon...leaving the final score 4 nil to ATYFC.

Shefford Saints 0-3 Arlesey (A)

A very even start to this match with most of the action in Midfield.Cassius showing some lovely dribbling skills drove the ball up the field and placed a lovely ball to Kasey who in turn shot a wonderful ball in the back of the net,1 nil.

Shefford battened down the hatches but undetered Callum and Ryan made some spectacular efforts around the Box showing real flare on the ball. On the break Shefford tried to cut through  ATYFC defense but Harry and Owen made some crucial clearances and kept score at 1 nil til halftime.

An inspired Team returned and it was not long before RyanS scorched up the field and crossed it over the keepers head,2nil. On the break again a determined Shefford had a shot but it was safely collected by Gurpal(GK). After a throw into the box RyanS slid a lovely ball to Kasey who never hesitated and put it into the back of the net shortly before the full time whistle.

Final score 3 nil to ATYFC. An exciting match to watch, what a great team effort!.

Shefford Saints 0-3 Arlesey (B)

Shefford sporting virtually the same players as the A team due to injuries came out all guns blazing, and Brandon defended his line with resolve. Gurpal was asked to make a save early on and did so with great gusto! Jack A had a chance from a corner from Robbie but the keeper made a great save. After some midfield play JackK made a George Best type run through the defence and shot a awesome ball into the back of the net,1nil to ATYFC.

Fired up now and moving well ATYFC had men in the area but Robbie hit a shot not far from the corner flag and it sailed into the goal above everyones head's!, 2nil.

Keiran and RyanL battled in Midfeild against stiff opposition with close support from JackA, a couple of good attempts were made by Shefford but Luc and Brandon made sure they were dealt with, with some stiff tackling and good clearances. A fortunate error for Atyfc when Shefford's GK let go of the ball and JackK utilised and scored again.

Final score 3 nil to ATYFC another great team effort!

Arlesey (A) 1-1 Stevenage Boro Bears

A hard fought Game with an excellent display of teamwork from all our players.

The opening stage produced great football with perfect passing from Cassius and Kasey, tough tackling from Callum and Ryan and dedicated defending from Owen and Harry. Arlesey took the lead when Ryan slammed one in to the top of the net for 1-0.

The second half saw Stevenage take their chance at goal, great goalkeeping by Gurpal with a fearless dive but the ball just managed to trickle in leaving score 1 all.  A tense moment for the Arlesey supporters when a shot from Stevenage left the goal wide open with another coming within millimetres of the goal line but Harry deflected this ball out, Phew!

A very equally balanced game, Well done to both sides.

Arlesey (B) 3-1  Stevenage Boro Lions

An immediate healthy start for Arlesey with most play in Stevenage end producing a first class goal from Jack K. Another goal to our boys when Ryan accurately passed down the line to Jack K who got round the defenders to volley another shot in. Brandon showed off his defending skills by expertly clearing a corner and Luc held no prisoners with his spirited tackling every time the opposition came close. Stevenage managed to get one back just before half time.

The second half was much the same play with relentless midfield play from Kieran and Jack A.  Another great pass this time from Jack K to Robbie who left footed the ball past the goalie for 3-1. A couple of scrambles by Arlesey's end were stopped by Gurpal's safe hands.

Compliments to the team for a very watchable game.

A strong start for the team with plenty of action on the field. The game was close with Harry and Owen having to work hard in defence. Some great chances at goal from Arlesey were saved by Keeper.Ashwell evened the attempts at goal without sucess. A free kick was blocked by Cassius, volleyed down the pitch by Harry, picked up again by Cassius who crashed home an unstoppable shot for 1-0.

The second half saw similar play again with Ryan attacking fast.A couple of  injuries and much substituting stopped play. Superb marking from our lads prevented

Ashwell having much possession. Careful passing gave a chance for Kasey to bypass the defenders and calmly place the ball for 2-0.

This game started well with tough tackling from Jack K. Luc and Ryan defended their space with determination and skill throughout. An attempt at our goal went wide with another expertly saved by Gurpal. Though some good runs down the wing by Jack K. and Jack A. the score at half time was 0-0.

The second half  seemed full of injuries but Arlesey's relentless push on goal produced many corners. Some excellent midfield play by Kieran and Robble who ran tirelessly up and down the pitch. The whole team were really fired up and never surrendered, constantly pushing forward. The one and only goal came from another corner which saw a goal mouth scramble for the ball producing an own goal for Ashwell.

Rushden And Diamonds Elite B 0-7 Arlesey(A)                                                   Rushden And Diamonds Elite A 2-0 Arlesey (A)

ATYFC had cordally welcomed the invite to travel down Saturday for a pre arranged friendly against Rushden and Diamonds Elite under 7yrs. The first match was ATYFC (A) versus R&D (B).

ATYFC started this match with real positivity and within minutes Cassius had set a pass to Ryan who struck it in for 1nil. Next up was Cassius who sank one into the back of the net from a lovely cross from Kasey.2nil. Callum was next on the ball and made a lovely passing shot to the feet of Kasey, who resoundly struck it home for 3nil.R&D fought hard in midfield but Owen stole a chance and passed to Cassius who neatly drove it in the goal for his double.4nil. Callum who weaved his way in and out of players set another up for RyanS ,who thundered it home for 5nil just before halftime.

A harder second half and some great defending by Goalie Gurpal,Harry and Owen keep them a clean sheet, whilst at the other end Kasey tucked one in for his double shortly followed by RyanS who scored another for his Hatrick.Excellent team match, final score 7nil to ATYFC.

The Second match was played against the R&D Elite A team and this was a much tougher match, with the squad facing some finely tuned players. Saying this they lost 2nil but the R&D coach had said that  the last team they played lost 20 nil, so it showed how well our boys played!

Well done all fantastic effort all round!

Rushden&Diamonds Elite A 9-0 Arlesey(B)                                                       Rushden&Diamonds  Lites B 5-3 Arlesey(B)

ATYFC B team faced adversity straight off with the first match being against the Elite R&D A team.

The match was pretty much one way with the skills of the R&D being shown to the full. Our boys never gave up and fought till the end but Alas lost 9 nil, it should be mentioned that they played without  Gurpal and had to put a novice in his place as goalkeeper.

Next match was far more even with the B'S playing each other. Robbie who is normally a striker played his match in Goal and what a job he did! He made 4 outstanding saves which undoubtly rattled R&D. RyanL was served a neat cross from the counter attack which ensued and scored,1nil to ATYFC. This was shortly celebrated when R&D answered with one of their own, level pegging at 1all.

End to end stuff this, when Rushden from a set corner piece knocked another in for 2-1.Arlesey's sheer determination payed off and Ryanl was rewarded with his double! from a lovely pass by Keiran.2all. Brandon suffering with Illness ran tirelessly, and he and Luc kept alot of good chances out. JackK, Ruari and JackA ran midfield ragged, but tiredness caught
them up and slightly fitter R&D did not hesitate and scored a further 3 more to bring the score to 5-3.

Not disheartened Jack K made a final onslaught and it paid off with him pulling one back for the ATYFC boys just before the final whistle, not that much in this match, dispite the score.Final score 5-3 to R&D.Again a very well done to the boys!
A Great team experience thanks to the R&D ELites for the invite and Hospitality shown.

Bassingbourn 0-3 Arlesey (A)

This a  delayed start to this match whilst the pitch thawed from frozen conditions.

Bassingbourn had a magnificent start and seemed as though they would be very full on,but after a few minutes ATYFC calmed themselves and set about reversing the trend. The electric duo Cassius and Kasey were soon in Bassingbourn's goal area and after a 4th corner kick,Kasey struck one in.Kasey and Callum kept the defenders busy and had several miss by a whisker, one in which the bassingbourn goalie made a superb save.

After halftime ATYFC kept the pressure on and Ryan S got served a beautiful ball from Harry and neatly tucked one into the corner to put ATYFC 2 nil ahead. Very few attempts were made on ATYFC thanks to harry and owen in defence and Goalie Gurpal had only a few attempts to save which he did very neatly.Just moments before  the fulltime whistle ATYFC scored another fine goal this time it was Cassius's turn from the duo to notch one up.A keenly fought match, Final score 3-nil to ATYFC.

Bassingbourn 2-7 Arlesey (B)

This match had barely started when Robbie seemed to pluck the ball from nowhere and struck a heavy ball past the Bassingbourn goalie to put ATYFC 1 nil ahead.

Robbie ,RyanL and keiran made some lovely passes, one of which went to Jack K and his shot on goal trickled in the left corner to score a goal. 2nil up and raring Keiran ran a lovely ball to Robbie who with great confidence struck another into the goal to put ATYFC 3 nil up.

Atyfc kept play all in the Bassingbourn half and just before halftime Sustitute Jack A struck a superb strike to notch his first for ATYFC.4 nil at halftime.

A fantastic second half followed with Bob the manager swapping defenders  postions with strikers to give them all a shot of a goal, and they did not dissappoint! Jack K stepped up to the plate and hit one into the left hand side of the goal,5 nil. Bassingbourn rallied themselves and on the counter attack passed the defenders  and put one in themselves.5-1. Luc and Brandon passed some lovely balls and when the time came Luc took his oppotunity and scored his first goal from a cross,6-1.ATYFC kept it coming and Brandon had several of his goal attempts blocked. A team run from midfield saw RyanL slide another in for 7-1.

Bassingbourn never gave up and answered just before the whistle with one of their own bringing the final score to 7-2

Arlesey (A) 3-0 Stevenage Boro Tigers

ATYFC A team started the line up without their leading goal scorer Kasey Tyler,

Within minutes Callum had stepped up to the plate and proved his worth by steaming one through the legs of the defenders and into the back of the net. Cassius and RyanS proved themselves as a double act and constantly rattled the Stevenage defence with well thought out passes, but to no avail.

After half time Stevenage seemed more fired up and Callum blocked what seemed like a certain goal, to keep themselves 1 goal ahead. Cassius then dribbled the ball all the way up field and unselfishly made a wonderful pass to RyanS, who struck a fantastic ball into the back of the net bringing us to 2 nil. Cassius's sheer determination up front finally paid off when after several failed attempts he finally claimed one for himself and knocked in a beauty.

Harry, Owen, Ghurpal and RyanL kept it tight at the back until the final whistle.Final score 3nil to ATYFC, and a well deserved victory.

Arlesey (A) 3-0 Stevenage Boro Tigers

Some wonderful team play right from the start.

ATYFC showing their growing skills with lots of accurate passing and possesion of the ball. Robbie started Stevenage's demise with a lovely curved  ball into the net, despite carrying an injured ankle. Keiran and Jack battled in midfield and  any strayers into ATYFC half were quickly dealt with by Brandon and Luc. Jack K had a valiant attempt blocked by Stevenage's goalie right on the line.

Shortly after halftime, an ATYFC corner lead to a near on identical goal from the injured Robbie, bringing them 2nil ahead. Some scary moment's followed with an attempt from stevenage but Gurphal with help from the defenders sent them packing. The ball was then passed up the field with nearly every player receiving a touch before Jack K seized his oppotuntity and cracked one in, bringing the score to 3nil.

A resounding result.

St.Neots 1-0 Arlesey (A)

Played: Harry Bean, Gurpal Dhesi, Owen Phillips, Ryan Slender, Cassius Straughn, Kasey Tyler, Callum Wells.

Arlesey went to St Neots knowing a tough game was ahead of them. The first half was very evenly matched. The opposition were very physical but this did not deter Arlesey who played excellent football. Harry and Owen let nothing past in defence,  A free kick outside our box saw a tense moment but was perfectly saved by Gurpal.

Top-notch teamwork in midfield saw some great positioning and passing amongst Callum, Cassius, Ryan and Kasey.  An action packed second half produced the goal from St Neots early on. Injuries stopped play a couple of times.

Arlesey tackled hard but clean throughout the game with play going from end to end. Credit goes to the whole team for their

sheer determination throughout the game. An unlucky result!

Arlesey(A) 4-0 Letchworth GCE

Arlesey immediately seized possesion and after some lovely team passes up the field,Cassius's fansy footwork foiled the defence and he cracked his strike in the back of LGC net. Callum rattled the defenders with his dribbling, and nearly scored but was foiled by the keeper.Just before the halftime whistle,Cassius served a wonderfull pass to the feet of Kasey who cooly placed it in the net for 2 nil.Quite a duo in the making.

LGC came out more fired up, but yet again ATYFC piled the pressure on with corners and lots of compelling action in the midfield, finally buckling to another goal from the duo , with Casey striking another fine goal.Bob moved Harry up slightly and thats all he needed because to great gasps he whipped the ball up field and scored a premiership type goal from yards out. Arlesey(B) 3-0 Letchworth GCE

Arlesey lads looked like they would have a handful with Letchworth straight out of the stalls and into their half. ATYFC composed themselves and some fine midfeild tackling from Ruari and Jack.A saw the ball go to Robbie. A nice set up from him let Ryan unleash a superb strike into the back of LGC net. Arlesey confidence grew and Keiran demonstrated some good balls skills which culminated in him trickling one past the goalie. 2nil. Full of energy and verve Arlesey kept up the pressure and Robbie let one fly from several yards out,up and over the Keepers hands.Cracking strike for 3nil.

After halftime the score remained the same even though LGC had a good attempt from a corner, and an unnerving moment when Brandon intercepted an imminent strike and cleared it from the goal mouth,  the whole team kept on LGC'S case to insure they did concede any goals at the last minute.

RoystonTown 3-3 Arlesey (A)

Right from the start this was a very tight keenly fought match with lots of action through the midfield. Kasey seized an early oppotuntity and struck one behind the royston keeper to take the lead.barely time to celebrate when royston came back with a high bouncing ball which was well out of reach of Gurpal, although he made a valiant attempt to reach it.

RyanS ,Cassius and Callum made some fine passes and fed a lovely ball to RyanS who finally put the ball in the back of the net for a 2-1 lead. Another unfortunate incident followed and a penalty from a handball resulted in royston drawing
level.

Cassius showed some real flare and dribbled his way all the way up the field to be denied at the goalmouth by the keeper. A freekick from outside the area saw the best goal of the match by Harry as it sailed over the heads of the wall and went in Beckham style! but it was not to be,Royston answered within minutes to bring it level, ending the match 3 all.

Arlesey started a bit more slowly than usual and Shefford seized the oppotunity and scored through an open defence. Arlesey then tightened up and Jack k and Luc kept back further onslaught from Shefford until halftime, with Robbie, Kieran and RyanL giving them plenty to think about at the shefford goal mouth.

After halftime a determined Robbie set play in motion and passed a lovely ball to Jack K who neatly struck into the back of the net for 1 all.

At this point Shefford moved up a gear and a surprise goal brought them back into the game, followed in quick succession by another leaving them even stevens.

Stevenage Boro Tigers 0-5 Arlesey (A)

An outstanding performance from every single player on a very cold miserable morning. Arlesey took posession immediately and stayed in control throughout the first half. Two brilliant 'Bend it like Beckham' shots hit the back of the net by Harry leaving score 2-0 at half time.

The second half saw fantastic teamwork with great ball skills and passing. Excellent defending from Owen  and sheer determination from Callum who played brilliantly in midfield to keep the ball. Third goal came from an exceptional strike from Ryan, shortly followed by a fourth wonderfully set up by Cassius  with just a touch from Kasey to score. The fifth and fiinal goal again by Kasey expertly placed.

Not much action for our new goalkeeper Gurpal in this game as the ball was continuously in the opponents half.

One way traffic right from the start and the whole team had a touch bringing the ball up the field before Callum thundered a super goal in the net. Ryan.L then went on what can only be called a rampage and before halftime had scored his first hat trick and brought the total to 4 nil.
